The New Silk Road.
The Chinese Belt and Road Initiative is the biggest infrastructure project the world has ever seen. For my new photojournalistic book "Die neue Seidenstrasse - Chinas Weg zur Weltmacht", I travelled along the New Silk Road from Shanghai in China to Western Europe.

Books.

My new photojournalistic book Die neue Seidenstrasse - Chinas Weg zur Weltmacht about the New Silk Road is now available in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (only in German).
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières MSF.

For Doctors without Borders I visited the Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh, the world's largest refugee camp.
Ukraine 2020.

Five years after my first visit in 2015, I created a new multimedia story about Ukraine in 2020.

Helvetas.

Helvetas is the biggest Swiss development organisation. I'm commissioned to visit its projects around the world as a photojournalist regularly.

Japan.
Japan is a country of real contradictions – which are increasingly leading to impossible tension. The struggle between tradition and modernity, eastern and western living, protecting and opening up the country poses great challenges. The economy is crashing, the population dying off. A photo-essayistic approach to an elusive country.
Uganda.

Incited by radical American evangelists, political leaders in Uganda intended to introduce the death penalty for homosexuality. This was only prevented thanks to international pressure. But still, homosexuality is illegal in Uganda, like in many other African countries. The law is exceptionally harsh: Men and women who get caught in a homosexual act face up to 20 years in jail. Related parties and landlords who don’t denounce known LGBTI persons to the government are sentenced to seven years in prison. I travelled to Uganda on behalf of the foundation Rainbow Support Network.

Carelink.

The Swiss foundation Carelink commissioned me to photograph the key visuals for its new corporate identity. Carelink supports companies and further institutions in the wake of extraordinary events, and provides emergency psychosocial care.
City of Kloten.

The city of Kloten, where the biggest Swiss airport is located, invited me to portrait a series of people who are connected to the airport - for the exhibition Flughafenstadtmenschen.
